Milan Design Week 2015<\/a><\/strong> <\/em>is coming and today we introduce you to\u00a0B&B Italia<\/strong><\/a> 2015 new outdoor collection. But this it not a usual collection! Patricia Urquiola<\/strong><\/a> and Antonio Citterio<\/strong><\/a> are the responsible for highly creative proposals to bring the quality and comfort of B&B Italia outside.<\/p>\n

BUTTERFLY <\/a>\u2013 seating system by Patricia Urquiola\"Milan<\/a><\/strong><\/p>\n

Butterfly gets its name from the \u201cbutterfly\u201d shape created by the outer corner that joins the armrest and the backrest. It is a modular seating system that responds effectively to the needs of modularity and comfort, suitable for free and informal usage.<\/p>\n

The combination of these elements, using a simple joint system, makes it possible to freely set up versatile configurations, from in-line sofas to corner solutions, from front-facing to lounge layouts. This\u00a0first textile sofa in B&B Italia Outdoor collection is characterised by soft and sinuous shapes.<\/p>\n

BUTTERFLY <\/a>\u2013 complements by Patricia Urquiola\"Milan<\/a><\/strong><\/p>\n

The Butterfly complements have an outline that perfectly follows the lines of the sofa, harmoniously flanking the seat at the top. The family consists of round, square and rectangular low tables and a small table.<\/p>\n

They all feature a large weave pattern, made of painted twisted polyethylene fibres that wrap around the grey painted aluminium frame. Two finishes are available for the surfaces of the complements: white Carrara statuarietto marble or Thermo treated ash wooden slats.<\/p>\n

FAT-SOFA OUTDOOR<\/a> \u2013 seating system by Patricia Urquiola\"b&b-italia-outdoor-collection-by-patricia-urquiola-and-antonio-citterio\"<\/a><\/strong><\/p>\n

The rounded, soft and sinuous shapes of the Fat-Sofa seating system are the base for the new outdoor version, characterized by a brand new interlacing design. Its fully padded seat is accompanied by a metal frame backrest that supports the original weave, creating a special play of fullness and emptiness.<\/p>\n

The large weave pattern, made of tortora coloured twisted polyethylene fibres, makes the design unique, respecting the designer\u2019s idea of lightness and transparency. The new collection of fabrics, available also on the large back cushions, creates evocative colour and visual combinations.<\/p>\n

MIRTO<\/a> \u2013 complements by Antonio Citterio\"b&b-italia-outdoor-collection-by-patricia-urquiola-and-antonio-citterio\"<\/a><\/strong><\/p>\n

The Mirto series, a new contemporary classic in the world of outdoor furniture for which the company performed substantial research, is now enriched by a wide range of complements in different types and sizes.<\/p>\n

The range of dining tables is now broader, three rectangular models and one square. Console, bench and different sizes of small tables complete the offer. The finish\u00a0of the frame and of the upper top is white or tortora, for elegant monochrome solutions, or wooden slatted natural brushed Iroko for a contrasting look.<\/p>\n

CRINOLINE <\/a>\u2013 stools by Patricia Urquiola\"b&b-italia-outdoor-collection-by-patricia-urquiola-and-antonio-citterio\"<\/a><\/strong><\/p>\n

A stool, available in two heights, is the latest addition to the Crinoline seat series. It comes with a bright stainless steel frame, a removable seat cushion, and a polyethylene interlacing in the colours white\/black, bronze\/black and tortora, the new finish now offered on the entire Crinoline family.<\/p>\n
